Journey to Darkness

My name is Bill and I am in the very early stages of Alzheimer disease. I am the third one of four siblings to get this disease. My oldest sister passed away over 2 years ago and a second sister is currently in a Memory Care unit. I have fortunate enough to get enrolled in a study of a promising drug which could slow or possibly clean the brain of Amyloid plaque, and the tangles associated with Alzheimer.

I started this blog to share the journey and the hope for a chance to beat this terrible disease. I want to allow others to post their experience and share in any ‘good’ news that comes along. In order to keep the flow of information at a relatively secure and accurate level, I have made this a Subscription blog. I have kept the cost low, but I feel it will hopefully keep out the fringe folks.

The subscription is just $10 per year and 1/2 of each subscription will be donated to the Alzheimer Association.

I don’t look forward to this journey, but it will be easier talking about it and sharing the experience.
